As part of its emergency response plan activities, the EQSP offers training on methods of euthanasia of pigs that comply with animal welfare standards and that would be applied in a health crisis situation or during herd reduction. The training courses currently available are the use of captive bolt gun in pigs of all categories and the gassing of piglets with carbon dioxide (CO2) or nitrogen (N2). They are intended for producers, farm and slaughterhouse employees, transporters, veterinarians, agronomists, representatives or any other stakeholder in the pig sector.

A minimum number of registrations is required for the delivery of training. Please return this registration form to confirm your interest in participating in our next training.
